UTV rentals begin at 9:00 am, you can pick them up anytime from 9:00am -11:00am, please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of your reservation. We can then perform the following activities:
UTV Rentals can be picked up at: SD Rentals: 16001 West Highway 44, Rapid City, SD 57702
Finalize Payment and damage deposit. A hold will be placed on the card used for the rental for $2,500 for 3 days before leaving with the unit. Upon return, the unit will be cleaned and inspected, and if damage is found, a list of those damages and repair prices will be provided and that amount will not be released out of the damage deposit. Finalize Waivers The Waiver is an online waiver, you will need to complete this as part of the checkout process. Get copies of driver’s licenses (anyone that will be driving, must provide a valid (non-expired) Driver’s License). Get copies of Vehicle insurance policy, it is the responsibility of the renter, to contact their insurance company prior to rental reservation, to verify they will be covered during rental of the UTV rental. -
Discuss trails and recommended sites to visit we suggest downloading the Avenza App, for free, you can use the map offline and it shows any trail restrictions, then chose one of the following: SD Rentals: Black Hills NF – Mystic Ranger District – MVUM. You can use the map offline and it shows any trail restrictions. Safety and Operability tour of your vehicle UTV rentals end at 5:00pm. There are no refunds for early returns. There are no refunds for inclement weather. Unit will be inspected for excessive mud, fuel levels and inspected for any damage. Lost key is $100 charge.

What To Bring
Water, snacks or packed lunch, sunscreen, bug spray, charged cell phone, extra battery pack for cell phone and personal first aid kit! Clothing – Wear clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty, the trails can be dirty and dusty. Layers are highly recommended. Waterproof and breathable rain gear if rain is in the forecast. Closed toe shoes – sandals are not recommended. Sunglasses and or goggles are also recommended for all riders. If you have your own DOT or SNELL helmet, we recommend bringing your own if you have one, for your comfort. All participants will be provided helmets free of charge. Helmets must be worn by all participants at ALL times. If inside of helmets are covered in mud and or dirt, a $40 cleaning fee will be charged for each dirty helmet. If helmets are returned with damage a $45 fee will be charged, if helmet is lost or stolen, a $150 fee will be charged.

Terms and Conditions
Please return the vehicle with a full tank of gas, failure to do so, will result in a charge for fuel usage in the amount of $2-$20. If possible, please return the vehicle clean and without excessive mud. If it comes back with excessive mud, we will charge a fee of $20.00. Late Fee, a late fee of $100 per hour will be charged for each hour its late. The minimum charge will be $100 if its less than one hour late. Cancellation Policy: The Reservation is only refundable if you cancel within 14 calendar days in advance from the date of pickup. Cancellations less than 14 calendar days do not qualify for a refund unless we can find a replacement and 10% will be deducted from the refund for processing fees. No refunds for early returns or inclement weather. No-shows will be charged the full price. Rain checks may be issued on a case-by-case basis. Age Requirement: The primary renter MUST be at least 25 years old with a valid (non-expired) Driver’s License. Additional drivers must be at least 25 years old with a valid Driver’s License. No one under the age of 25 may drive the rental UTV. We reserve the right to refuse rental to any individuals who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, payment or damage deposit authorizations are declined, expired driver’s license or who is unwilling or unable to follow safety instructions. GPS tracking can be done via the Avenza map so you can relay location in case of emergency and a flat tire fix kit.

Rules
- Do not operate any UTV(s), or other vehicle or equipment , in any manner other than with both hands on the steering apparatus and sitting in the seat with arms and legs within the confines of the vehicle.
- Obey all posted signs. Do not ride faster than posted speed limits. Know and abide by all local rules and state and local laws. Do not ride out of designated areas; respect our wilderness. Do not carry persons other than as originally mounted on or assigned to ride in the vehicle.
- Ride at your current skill level. Do not push your limit. Be careful.
- Do not ride in water or wet sand. It corrodes the undercarriage.
- Do not tow other UTV(s) or any other vehicle nor allow them to tow you and your rental UTV(s).
- No alcohol or drug possession or consumption before or during use while in possession of rented UTV(s) or other vehicle/equipment.
- Be aware of other riders and vehicles.
- Be aware of your terrain. Do not go up, down or sideways on steep inclines.
- Be very careful if you are riding in a wash. Washes fill up quickly in the event of rain and can be much deeper than they appear. Use extreme caution in and around all water, particularly fast-moving water.
- Do not park and leave vehicle or equipment unattended. You will be responsible for any gas, time, labor it takes NBD Rentals to find the vehicle.
- In case of breakdown, call our office at 605-517-1169. A partial refund may be allocated for time lost due to breakdown caused by engine failure.
- Anyone not following these rules or the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, or those who are caught speeding or riding without a helmet, will be asked to return the UTV(s) and the remainder of their rental will be forfeited.
- All vehicles must be returned, as clean as possible. If vehicle is returned and it's very muddy, a fee of $150.00 will be charged, as our team will need to clean the vehicle thoroughly before the next rental.
- Do not attempt steep trails when you do not know where they end up. Being trapped at the bottom of a canyon can lead to an expensive recovery bill for your machine.
- Never ever jump this vehicle. It will land on its nose. Damaging the suspension and frame is expensive. You will be responsible for parts, labor and down time of the UTV.
- Never make aggressive turns or donuts, the tires can come off the rims and cause the vehicle to tip over or roll over. Our roll over fee is a minimum of $500 even if it goes on its side. The tire fee is $100 to clean out and re-mount the tire.
- Our rescue fee for an incident that is caused by operator error is $500 if the vehicle is within 50 miles from our shop. Outside of 50 miles, the operator is responsible for all costs associated with retrieving and returning the vehicle to us.
